Job Description

Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Lewisville TX (fully onsite)
Duration: 6+ months Contract

Overview of Role:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading forecasting activities, conducting detailed data analysis, and implementing process improvements within our financial operations. This role involves working closely with various departments to provide actionable insights, enhance financial planning processes, and drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forecasting:
o Develop and manage detailed financial forecasts, including revenue projections, expense budgets, and cash flow estimates.
o Collaborate with departmental leaders to gather assumptions and inputs for accurate forecasting.
o Monitor and update forecasts based on actual performance, market conditions, and business developments.
2. Data Analysis:
o Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of financial performance.
o Analyze company performance metrics, including revenue per repair, cost of goods sold, and operational efficiency.
o Prepare and present reports that highlight insights and support strategic planning.
3. Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for enhancing financial processes and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes.
o Work with cross-functional teams to standardize procedures and enhance data accuracy and accessibility.
4. Reporting and Insights:
o Generate and analyze financial reports to support business decisions and provide actionable recommendations.
o Develop and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks specific to the collision repair industry.
o Present findings and insights to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
5. Collaboration:
o Partner with various departments, including operations and accounting, to gather relevant data and insights.
o Support the FP&A Manager and other senior finance leaders in strategic planning and decision-making activities.
6. Ad Hoc Analysis:
o Conduct special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management to support business initiatives and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
1-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), data analysis, or related corporate finance roles, preferably within the automotive or collision repair industry.
Strong proficiency in forecasting, financial modeling, and data analysis techniques.
Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with Excel-based reporting tools such as Power BI, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Reporting Services, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to various stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial planning and analysis specific to the collision repair or automotive service industry.
Knowledge of industry-specific metrics and performance benchmarks.
Experience in leading process improvement initiatives and implementing best practices.
