We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. They will be responsible for ensuring all HVAC systems are installed and functioning correctly, providing a comfortable and safe environment for all occupants of the buildings we construct.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
2. Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
3. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
4. Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
5. Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to the customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
6. Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
7. Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (new unit/ system, service contracts, and additional services).
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent, with trade or vocational school certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
3. Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
4. Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
5. EPA Universal Certification is required.
6. Proven track record in heating and cooling systems including the ability to draw, read and interpret wiring diagrams.
7. Knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes.
8. Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done correctly the first time.
9. Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations.
10. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
11. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
