Manager/Director - Business Valuation Department Locations: Columbia, Summerville, Charleston, SC About Us: Our firm specializes in forensic accounting and business valuation, offering top-tier services to clients across South Carolina. Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Director to lead our Business Valuation Department. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a strong background in business valuation who is interested in being groomed for a partner-level position within a three-year timeframe. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing the valuation department, managing complex valuation projects, and working closely with one of our two partners to ensure a smooth transition. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Business Valuation Department, overseeing all valuation engagements. Develop and implement strategies to grow the valuation practice. Conduct complex business valuations, including those for mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, litigation support, and financial reporting. Collaborate with partners and other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions. Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance and training on valuation methodologies and best practices. Assist in business development efforts, including client relationship management and proposal development. Qualifications: CPA required; additional credentials such as ASA, ABV, CFA, or CVA are highly preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business valuation, with a strong track record of managing complex valuation projects. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team in an in-person office setting. Strong business development skills and experience in building client relationships.
