Right at Home is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager ! In this position you will be contributing to a nationally recognized brand by overseeing and executing payroll activities for multiple EIN’s and includes multistate employers, GL reconciliation, benefit reconciliation and payroll taxes. Primary Responsibilities: Display Right at Home Core Values Successfully process payrolls for multiple payroll companies (weekly and bi-weekly processing) across multiple states Set up new state tax codes for remote employees and managing unemployment tax rates Set-up, file and maintain state and other tax accounts Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions Complete monthly payroll related close tasks including work comp expenses and time off accruals Import and reconcile payrolls into general ledger from payroll system Respond to employment verifications, garnishment/levy requests and unemployment claims Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, separations and pay rate changes Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions Calculates and responds to all a payroll garnishments/levys Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws, tax rules and best practices Assists with annual audits by providing records and documentation to auditors Develop, maintain and update systems to process payroll transitions including deductions, taxes and third party payments Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems Work collaboratively with Human Resources to administer benefit premiums Accurately reconcile all benefit premiums with monthly invoices Partner with finance to run all general ledger payroll mapping and submit payroll reports Complete annual work comp audit Other duties as assigned Successful candidates will have: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting a plus 3+ years of successful related experience (Paycor Payroll experience preferred) Experience with multistate payroll processing and payroll journal/GL import to accounting software Payroll GL mapping experience Experience with benefit premium invoicing and payroll reconciliation 2+ years’ experience with tax reporting Professional payroll certification helpful Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proficient with MS Office Suite (specifically MS Excel and Outlook) Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles Motivated to do the right things for the right reasons Experience processing payroll for hourly and professional staff required Right at Home, a RiseMark Holdings, LLC company, is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates, supports and promotes diversity and inclusion.
