Job Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in Stamford, Connecticut. The role is primarily focused on managing and coordinating logistics, particularly with regards to ocean freight and international imports. Your workplace will be a dynamic environment where you will be handling various aspects related to customer sales contract fulfillment, logistics related direct costs, and customer claims.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all facets of customer sales contract fulfillment, including contract review, product sampling, and ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Take charge of initiating container shipments from various controlled coffee origins.
• Manage and control logistics related direct costs by choosing the right third-party service providers.
• Assist in the creation of budgets for shipments and ensure they are adhered to.
• Schedule, coordinate, and plan future shipments and deliveries to meet customer’s needs.
• Handle the clearance and delivery of inbound cargo; Prepare customs entries and inbound delivery orders.
• Ensure payments to ocean carriers are received and cargo is cleared of customs holds.
• Arrange for product releases from warehouses for customer delivery.
• Maintain effective communication with origins, customers, and vendors, fostering positive relationships.
• Act as a liaison with third party warehouses for product entry, storage, and delivery.
• Manage customer claims for shortages or losses and resolve concerns promptly.
