About the Role:

Were on the hunt for a dynamic Salesforce Project Manager to join the hive on behalf of our client. This role is critical in managing the implementation of a unified Salesforce Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection (LPI) system. Position Summary:

Our client's highest priority initiative is to implement a unified Salesforce Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection (LPI) system. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing this technology implementation, coordinating between business, technical, and vendor stakeholders, and ensuring that the Salesforce instance meets business needs through all phases of development and maintenance.

Your Mission:

  • Collaborate with the Client Salesforce Modernization Product Manager, Associate Deputy Commissioner of Technology, Deputy Commissioner, external vendors & Client business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and strategic alignment.
  • Create and maintain project documentation such as project charter/scope, project plans, status reports, and operational checklists.
  • Create project work plans & schedules including identification of resource skills necessary to deliver the full project scope.
  • Load and track project work plans & schedules in PMOs enterprise reporting tool (e.g., MS Project Online).
  • Manage program scope, schedule, budget, and resources to successfully fulfill business and technical requirements with high customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate technical support as needed including but not limited to architectural reviews, compliance reviews, and various project artifacts.
  • Manage project issues and risks to prevent potential barriers to project success.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between Client, vendors, and other Commonwealth of Massachusetts agencies.
  • Develop image acceptance test plans, validate test plans with the business, and drive the image testing/acceptance process.
  • Ensure all team members have access to the proper systems for interacting with other team members, reviewing materials, and testing functionality in the systems and product demos.
  • Maintain budget spreadsheets, track billing from vendors, and inform progress, alerting Client senior management of discrepancies.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT project management with the capability of managing complex, cross-functional IT projects.
  • Strong issue & problem management skills, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Masters-level knowledge of Microsoft's entire productivity suite including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Project Online. Power BI is a plus.
  • Prior project management of large public sector IT projects, with understanding of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts practices, policies, and budgeting is a major plus.
  • Familiarity with organizational change management including end-user training.
  • Experience creating and implementing plans according to project goals and objectives.
  • Working knowledge of project management concepts as defined by PMI.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and ITIL concepts. Theory of Constraints is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent priorities with little or no direction and meet established timelines.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor information to an audience in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, influence, manage, and negotiate effectively at all levels including senior-level management.
  • Demonstrated leadership with strong organizational and customer service skills with attention to detail; process redesign experience is highly desired.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and release management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of implementing Salesforce and/or driving large Salesforce deployments is a significant advantage.
  • Experience managing a software or services project including end-to-end product development and leading a team.
  • Proven ability in both waterfall and agile technology delivery methods.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, senior managers, front-line leaders, and employees at all levels.
  • Experience with contract management and vendor interaction in delivering large-scale products or web services.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
